Growing up as a people pleaser, although I had good intentions, I wasn’t actually making the impact I wanted to! I wasn’t helping. I thought I was doing the right thing by putting their needs first —accommodating so that they perceive me as friendly, likeable, nice— but I wasn't being authentic. People-pleasing often comes from a belief that we're not enough unless we're making others happy.
